The house is located in a huge apple orchard, which turns into a forest thatdescends to the river. This wonderful landscape is clearly visible from thewindows of the second floor, and the garden seems to fill the space of the firstfloor through large windows. Therefore, it was decided to make a neutral interior, which is perhaps the ideal context for such an environment.
The two-light living room-library is the central room in the house. It is flanked by averanda with a tiled stove and a kitchen-dining room. Also on the ground floorthere is a guest room, an entrance hall, a bathroom. The bedrooms are located onthe floor above: it is smaller in area, so the architect used mirrors in the stairwell-they visually increase the room. The house is decorated in soothing tones: thepearl-gray color of the walls echoes the canvas upholstery of the furniture, natural wood, white ceramics and openwork cast iron. Library-living roomdecorated in the spirit of the Chalet: its walls are decorated with textured wood, furniture upholstered in light canvas, the high ceiling is decorated with achandelier of antlers, and in the center of the composition located spiralstaircase, made according to the architect’s drawings.
The combination of warm and cool shades creates a balanced, soothing colorscheme, and fur blankets and pillows complete the impression.
The living room is always bright thanks to the two-light layout, mirrored panels onthe second floor level and additional lamps at the sofa and along the bookcase. Amassive chandelier made of horns is not only appropriate in style, but alsoharmoniously fits into the two-light space. The living room and the veranda areseparated by a fireplace in the form of a Russian stove with traditional tiles.
Each room of the house has large windows, including bedrooms on the secondattic floor. Therefore, staying in this house outside the city, you feel really “innature”.
